Basmati rice : 2 cups Onion : 4 Coconut milk : 3 cups Ginger garlic paste : 2 tsp Green chilli : 6 Bark of cloves : 2 Bayleaf : 1 Oil : 2 tbsp Ghee : 2 tbsp Cloves : 4 Cardamom : 2 Salt : 3 tbsp
Wash the rice and soak in coconut milk for ½ an hour. Cut onion and chilli in long thin slices. Heat oil and ghee in the pressure cooker. Add bayleaf, bark of cloves, cloves and cardamom. Add onion, green chilli, a pinch of salt and fry till it loses the pungent smell. Add rice, coconut milk, salt and pressure cook till it blows a whistle. Keep it on a low flame for 2 minutes. When the pressure reduces, open the lid, stir the contents and serve along with raita or kurma. P.S. Bark of cloves and cloves can also be ground with ginger garlic paste.
